THE COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. HOWEVER, YOU CAN STILL DO THE SLEEP DIARY ACTIVITIES WITH YOUR CLASS.

We’ve put together some ideas and lesson plans for teachers to get their classes involved in the Big Sleep Survey 2010. All you need to do is print off the attached lesson plans and encourage your students to fill in their own Kids Sleep Diary for 5 days.

Here’s some other reasons why you should get involved:
  • Sleep is a fascinating area
  • It’s a great activity for National Science Week (August 14 – 25).
  • Teach kids about how science works.
  • Generate interesting discussions about sleep, dreams and science

Note: This activity & competition is not connected with the citizen science component of the Big Sleep Survey. No indivdual data on any child will be collected.
